I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. It started with me tagging along to my brother’s sports games just so I could practice capturing cool action shots. In college, I decided to minor in photography, which gave me a great foundation, but honestly, most of
what I’ve learned has come from simply doing the work and growing through experience. I
still laugh thinking about a project where I tried to emulate Ansel Adams and quickly
realized that sweeping landscapes were not my thing. What truly lit me up was photographing people, especially during my college years. That was when I started taking senior portraits for students in my community. Eventually, a few close friends asked me to capture their engagement session and that’s when everything clicked. There was something
so special about documenting real relationships and genuine emotion that completely stole my heart. Around that same time, my husband was stationed overseas in the military and I found myself needing a creative outlet to pour my energy into. I started sharing my work on Instagram, just to see what might happen. What began as a way to stay busy during a challenging season slowly turned into something much bigger. Taking that leap to officially start my photography business was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I’m so grateful it led me here.

philosophy
My philosophy is simple: when moments pass and seasons change, photographs are what bring us back. They’re the tangible pieces of our story. The way we hold onto the people and memories we miss most. My job is to preserve those moments in a way that feels honest and alive. I want you to look at your images and remember exactly how it felt - your newborn tucked against you, hugging your grandma on your wedding day, dancing barefoot in the kitchen with your little ones. When you flip through your gallery years from now, my hope is that you don’t just see the moment - you step right back into it.

We hired Kelsey for our wedding and engagement shoot and she was so amazing throughout the whole process. Super easy to work with and made me and my husband feel
very comfortable during our shoots and every encounter with her. Not to mention how our stunning photos turned out (even with how awkward we can be! Lol). Getting sneak peak
photos just days after each shoot was also absolutely incredible and so nice to not have to wait weeks to even see one photo! With planning my own wedding, Kelsey helped a lot with the timeline for our day and even made time in her busy schedule for a last minute planning session when I was having a freak out!
